今年で４７回目を迎えた東京スポーツ新聞社制定「２０２０年度プロレス大賞」選考委員会が１４日にオンラインで行われ、技能賞はＤＤＴのＫＯ―Ｄ無差別級王者・遠藤哲哉（２９）が初受賞。選考では遠藤に加え、矢野通、Ｅｉｔａ、飯伏幸太、拳王、諏訪魔、青木真也の７選手がノミネート。そうそうたるメンバーの中、１回目の投票で過半数を獲得した。
